“Faux”smobile Valve Covers

We have designed and manufactured a new valve cover with broad appeal for anyone building a retro styled street rod. The classic good looks of the 1949-50 Oldsmobile valve cover have been designed into a unit that bolts-on to any small block Chevrolet engine equipped with centerbolt valve covers.

With this exciting new product, it is possible to have the reliability, convenience, and warranty of a new Chevrolet crate engine while having the appearance of a 1949-50 Oldsmobile.

The all new Oldsmobile V8, introduced in 1949, was once the hottest engine available to transplant into hot rods. With a displacement of 303 cubic inches, compact size, and overhead valves, it made more horsepower in stock form than a hopped-up flathead.

Not only does this new valve cover have good looks, it is equipped with many other impressive features.

These include:

  • Die cast aluminum construction
  • Separate wire loom, as the original Olds design, with integrated spark plug wire routing
  • Oil fill and PCV plumbing are neatly hidden beneath the wire looms. Molded rubber oil fill plug and PCV adapters are included
  • Complete with all hardware including special, chrome plated acorn nuts
  • The valve covers are shipped with an “as cast” finish and must be painted to match the user’s engine color theme. Polished valve covers are also available. The wire looms are available “as cast” or triple chrome plated
  • A pair of “OLDSMOBILE ROCKET” decals for the wire looms is provided with the valve cover kit
  • An adapter is also available, at extra cost, to fit the “Faux”smobile valve cover onto small block Chevrolet engines with flange bolt valve covers manufactured from 1955-85.
